This is my fourth year at Pioneer as their Assistant Principal. I live in Castle Rock with my husband of 21 years and our 3 children. Our oldest is a graduate of Ponderosa High School and our younger two are students in the Legend Feeder.
My teaching and education have spanned over 5 states. I received my bachelors in Elementary Education from the University of Central Florida. In Florida, I taught 1st, 3rd and 4th grades in a school just outside of Orlando. We then moved and had a short time in Arizona where I was a 4th-grade teacher. Our next move and adventure took us to Washington State where I earned a Masters in Literacy from the University of Seattle. In Washington State, I was a 4th and 5th-grade teacher. We then moved to New Mexico and this is where I earned my degree in being a Media Specialist. I was a 4th, 5th-grade teacher, and Media Specialist. Our last and final move was to Castle Rock, Colorado. Before being at Pioneer, I was a 5th-grade teacher, gifted facilitator, and technology specialist at Iron Horse Elementary. In 2012 I achieved my National Board Certification as an Elementary Ed Generalist.
