Pioneer Community Update 11/12
Dear Pioneer Parents and Community,
As a community, we have been so grateful for the support our Pioneer families have provided us through remote, hybrid, and in-person learning. The Pioneer community is experiencing an increase in cases, and as a result, it has been necessary to quarantine specific classrooms. So far, we have been able to keep our doors open and provide that all-important in-person learning for most of our students, but it has not been easy. If you know of anyone that might be interested in obtaining a substitute license, please direct them HERE.
We understand that virtual learning during the quarantine process is difficult for all involved. It is our hope that our community will continue to partner with our teachers and support staff, and be flexible during the swings from in-person to virtual learning. We all want our Timberwolves in school and we are doing our very best to keep our building safe for all.
Unfortunately, the increase in cases both at school and in the community has made it necessary for me to remain in isolation for the foreseeable future. I will continue to support our Pioneer students but from the safety of my home office. I will work with Pioneer teachers and support staff virtually to ensure our students are getting the support they need to learn and grow.
As a school, we are asking for your help as we continue to navigate through these uncertain times. We cannot emphasize enough for ALL adults to wear masks when walking on our campus. This holds true even when outside, as it is difficult to avoid close contact with others in the crowds at arrival and dismissal. If you are unable to wear a mask, please set up a meeting place for your child at the boundary of the school property. We realize that this is an inconvenience for some, however, we need everyone’s help in order to avoid further quarantines or complete closure of the school. We are also asking for your help in keeping your child(ren) home if he/she is showing any signs of illness. Thanks in advance for your partnership in keeping our students, staff, and greater community healthy and safe during this pandemic.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving Break. Stay safe!
Sincerely,
Kelli Bainbridge
Principal
